Shopping for babies can be a little tricky so you don’t add more clutter to your own home or the home of your friend or relative. Babies really don’t need all that much stuff but you also want to gift the babies or their parents with something that will be useful and beautiful at the same time!

When I think about buying gifts for my own babies or the babies of friends and family I love to stick to books, open ended toys and puzzles. I have broken down my list into these three categories. The great thing about many of these gift ideas for babies is that they will grow with the child and be used for many years to come, not just a few months and then forgotten about as baby grows.
