I am so excited and honored to announce that i Dream of Simple was nominated for The Mystery Blogger Award by LivingLifeLovingUs! Three Things About Me

Here are three things you may or may not know about me!

1. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 10 years (our anniversary is in November!).  We were even prom king and queen! 🙂 We have two young kiddos, a 5-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old girl, who both keep us on our toes!
2. I used to love extreme activities like roller coasters and even skydiving.  Now that I am older, and I think in part because I am a mom, I’d much rather curl up with a good book or go for a walk!
3. I am an ISFJ on the Myers Briggs personality scale (The Defender) and an Enneagram Type 9 (The Peacemaker).  Getting to know more about my personality type has made a huge difference in how I approach decisions and interactions with others.  I investigated my personality type (and so much more) in the course called Like Your Life, from Tsh Oxenreider.  I learned so much about myself during this course and I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.  Learn more by clicking the green “Learn More” button below.

1. What do you see as your greatest achievement and greatest regret?

Let’s start this off with a tough question!  My greatest achievement so far is graduating with my master’s degree in supply chain management while working full time and taking care of my young family.  My greatest regret is not starting my blog sooner! If you are at all interested in starting your own blog, this is the best beginner e-book I have found!

2. What simple moment brings you the most happiness?

A simple moment that brings me the most happiness is seeing my kiddos play nicely together.  I love to see them interact and have a “conversation” (I put it in quotes because my two year old can’t say much yet!).  This is an awesome opportunity for me to just soak it in and be present in the moment.

3. Do you prefer books or movies?

If you would have asked me 5 years ago I would have said movies, but today I absolutely prefer a good book!  See what I am reading this year in this post and some of my favorite books about simple living in this post.

4. Do you see yourself as successful?

Yes!  Success can be measured in many different ways.  Some of the ways I see myself as successful are that I graduated from college with a degree in engineering and a masters degree in supply chain management.  And I have been working for the same company in various roles since I graduated from college!  I started this blog and have met so many amazing people along the way!  I continue to grow and push myself and learn new things.  And most importantly, I have an amazing little family whom I adore!

5. If you could be any animal for a day which would it be?

I would definitely be a dog.  They get to relax, go for walks and play all day!
